This coming spring, I’m running for re-election to on of the three at-large seats on the Champaign City Council. I’ve been on the council for the last four years, and I’m proud of the work this council has done, especially on housing. I’m running for re-electioncity council to continue the work of making our community a better place to live, for everyone.
I support a walkable, bikeable, accessible city. I support a variety of housing choices, and making housing more affordable. And I want our city to become a more connected community, where people can easily live, work, and visit with or without a car.
If you're ready to support me, that's great! If you'd like to hear more, email me at Kathy@ElectKathyShannon.org and we can get together for coffee. Either way, I hope that my candidacy gets the whole community talking about ways we can make a more resilient, livable, happy community.
